Working as a Nanny Again

I'm working as a nanny again.  This time I have an 8 year old girl and 6 year old boy.  They are pretty good kids.  Although there have been a few hard morning as I've had to "train them" to do chores for the first time in their lives.  It was also a chore to have Sophie let me brush her hair.  After a few minutes on http://www.cutegirlshairstyles.com/ she has decided that as long as she gets to pick which style I do then it's fun to get done-up each day.  We've done a lot of style repeating, but I'm getting better and it's fun to have a little girl to do them on!

The camps, classes, and schedule for the two of them keep us running one day and completely lazy another. It's tiring for sure because they aren't allowed to watch TV, get only 30 min. on electronics, and don't really know how to entertain themselves so I have transitioned into "mommy" mode trying to keep them entertained from 7:15am-7pm with no quite/nap time for a break.  We go to the library, park, make our own crayons, basketball and tennis camps, swimming, tons of stuff.  Good thing their so good!  Otherwise it wouldn't be worth it.   

Tonight I have an interview for 2nd job.  Sophie's school teacher recommended me to another family in her classroom, so hopefully I'll start working as a tutor for a 2nd family.  During the summer I'll work from 7:15 am-7pm every day, tutor from 7-8pm once a week, and then go to YW from 7-8:30pm once a week too.  It will make for some incredibly long days, but having the extra money is really nice!

Speaking of YW, last week after work on Tues. & Wed. I drove an hour to Girls Camp to watch our ward's Skit and Singing Tree Song.  It was kinda sad that I couldn't stay for the whole week though.  It would have been fun to spend at least one night with my beehives!

I think Mark is enjoying work a little more now.  He got a new boss.  His friend Spencer Clive got promoted and Mark was put onto his team.  The poor Clives may get sick of us by summer's end though.  I see Mardee at least once a week and often twice b/c the kids are 2nd cousins and Sophie & Max like to have the girls come over to play in the pool.  No complaints here... I love having a friend with me at work just like Mark does!
