Do you remember the post were Gizmo decided it was okay to snap and snarl at a Great Dane? Well, after that experience I started taking Gizmo to the dog park at least once a week after work so he could learn how to play nicely with other dogs. The first week he snapped, snarled, and nipped at 2 Black Labs, an Akbash, a Hound, and a German Shepherd. Fortunately the owners were understanding and let us return the next day, and the next, and the one after that....
It has been 4 months and we can see progress!

Now before you go giving him the excuse that all those dogs are bigger than he is, let me tell you that there were 3 dogs that were smaller than him playing behind me too. Every once in a while he will join in the chase for a minute or two, but then my shadow returns and he watches the other dogs have fun from a safe distance.

If anyone thinks I'm going to say anything negative about my Gizzy-goo, they are sadly mistaken. He's a good boy, and is probably a victim of bullying in the past. He's been traumatized. (Plus, he probably doesn't know he's a dog.)
