Valentines & Cake

Mark and I had a very relaxed valentines day and V-day weekend. Thursday night I made a cake for my math class. We are working with fractions so Friday we figured out how much of the cake each student would get. Next we worked on fractions with the little heart candies. It was nice to actually have some fun in school. It is too bad there isn't enough time to do things like that all the time.

About 15 minutes after I got home from work there was a knock at the door. A box from ProFlowers had been ordered for ME! The Peruvian Lilies are still GORGEOUS a week later (I took this picture yesterday).

We went to Danville for the weekend and Jenny's (Mark's sister) birthday. Saturday the whole family all went out together for dinner. Sunday was the birthday party, so it was a fun weekend. Monday we went to dinner and watched a movies at home. It was very low key but very nice!

This week I made another cake and took it to school. I had another teacher ask me if she could hire me to make cakes for her. She says she hates making birthday cakes but her kids love "special" cakes, so maybe I can get a little extra money again (so long as I don't decorate on the coffee table where Giz can reach it), that would be awesome!

You could definitely make a great business out of selling your cakes--they are amazing! I love the gift cake!

Is this the cake you ended up making the night we ran into each other! Totally fun. Let's get together and make fancy cupcakes sometime. I've been wanting to for awhile. =)
