I wasn't feeling too hot this week and Tuesday after school a co-worker told me I looked flush and felt my forehead. She quickly told me I had a fever. I told my Vice Principal that I wouldn't be able to come to work and she arranged for a substitute as I left school. The next morning I found my thermometer and found that my temp was 102.2. I had had a sore throat Monday and a cough developed on Tuesday, so when I saw the fever was real I went to the CVS Minute Clinic. The doctor there was all set to help me out when she took my blood/oxygen level which was 2-3 points too low. She wasn't allowed to treat me and sent me to the urgent care at Duke instead. The urgent care doctor said the oxygen level could be due to my continuous coughing, so he didn't seem too worried about it. Instead he asked me if I had gotten the H1N1 vaccine. "No" I had to say. "Well it is still going around right now, you know." So yeah.... I have swine flu! Blah!

I am sad that I have to miss school today, since we are having our winter celebration and today is the last day before our 3 week break. :-(
Mark and I have decorated the house last week, so while I am stuck in bed at home I have been enjoying our decorated tree, my now complete Hummel Nativity (thank you Mom & Dad), & watching the holiday movies I never seem to have time to enjoy. I finally got my fever under control just this morning, so hopefully I will be up and at 'em in time for the Christmas festivities.

I'm glad you're feeling better now. I've been worried about you,but didn't want to call and interrupt your quiet time.
