Fun in the Snow

The Northeast had a huge snow storm this week, but down in Durham we saw only flakes that didn't stick. Since both Mark and I are out of school we decided to head up to Danville a little early and enjoy the snow that did stick around in VA. Today Susan, Mark, & Gizmo decided it
would be fun to break out the sleds and hit the slopes (driveway). I am still coughing pretty bad from my battle with the flu so I chose to wrap up and take pictures instead.

Though short lived, the adventure was fun to watch! Soon attention turned to Gizmo when Mark thought he would enjoy a sled ride. Nope! Gizmo got off that sled faster than Mark could put him on. That wasn't an acceptable answer so we decided Grandma should help him get used to the idea. She went down the sled with him much like you would a child. Dog in her lap carefully secured with her arm. By the time they got to the bottom of the very short slope Gizmo wouldn't get off her lap. I am pretty sure he wasn't asking to go again.

We hope this holiday season also finds you enjoying time with your loved ones! Merry Christmas!!!

Gizmo looks like he's having so much fun. (Maybe not.) Even if he's not having fun, he sure could win a winter fashion show.
