This weekend is the big birthday weekend for us. It was our niece's birthday Thursday, Susan's (Mark's mom's) birthday on Friday, his sister Dawn's and my sister's (Kristi - we adopted each other during college) birthday on Sunday. Since I am taking a cake decorating class, I decided to make Susan a surprise birthday cake.
Saturday morning we drove to Richmond for Dawn's birthday party. We were able to celebrate with family we don't get to see very often. Brady & Karissa came down from D.C. with their baby Lily. Mark E. (step-brother) brought his two little cuties Alexia & Brayden. It was good to see some of Mark's family that we don't get to see very much!
We were also able to go see some of my family! This summer my cousin moved his family to Richmond VA so he could start Dental School. I haven't seen Cory & Jenna since Christmas, and it was the first time I got to see Trey, their new little boy. It was a great addition to our busy but wonderful weekend.
Now I am off track for three weeks. Currently, I am laying on the couch fighting a horribly sore throat & cough. I hope to feel better tomorrow so I can start my long list of To Dos.
