Last week was little Trevor's birthday. Trevor is our nephe
w (Mark's step-sister's son) and he wanted to go to Bush Gardens. Mark and I kinda invited ourselves along for the party and we're really glad we did!
Friday night Mark flew in from Atlanta again and we drove up to his dad's house in Clarksville. We left early and made it to Williamsburg before around 9:30 am. Mark and I split off from Gene & Debi for a couple of rides while we waited for Trevor's family to get into the park. After a bit we met up with the group again and were able to ride some of the bigger rides with Trey & Tabathia. I am proud to say that I got on 3 or 4 rides that had VERY big drops!
By the end of the day my feet hurt so bad from walking in flip-flops that I happily let Mark go off with Trey & Tabathia for the biggest of the roller coasters while I stayed behind with Gene, Debi, and Trevor for the train ride. Mark enjoyed having someone to go on the coasters with that he didn't have to push forward all through the line. Mark has always been a fan of thrills so this was a great break for him!
We ended the day splitting a wonderful Funnel Cake. I had chocolate fudge syrup on my half and Mark topped his with strawberries. I love going to amusement parks, especially when we get to go with friends!
This week I also started teaching Kindergarten at Easley Elementary. I have seen all of my students, but not all of them together yet. Tuesday I will have all of my 13 little darlings in 1 room, mostly by myself. Tuesday will be the real test of how the year will proceed ... I think it will be a wonderful year, and I am excited to try working with the new age/grade. Check out the flowers my AWESOME husband bought for me my first week of work!
