With spring in full swing we've spent a lot more time outside.
Grandma & Grandpa DeYoung came out for my birthday and decided to give R & D their birthday gift early. Each got a car of their own. Dean got a truck - just like Daddy. Rachel got a glittery pink car. The kids didn't want to wait long enough to get them put together before getting in. We've already spent many hours outside playing in them.
We are all loving the extra time outside and go to a park as many days as we can each week. The swings are a new favorite this year.
Spring also means it's time to plant one last garden in my box. This year we're trying our luck with Green Beans, Cherry Tomatoes (the only 2 I know will do great), Crookneck Squash (got bug eaten 2 yrs ago), and Snap Peas. Even if we only get beans and tomatoes these kids will be happy!
