Arkansas weekend

Mark got to choose what we did this weekend. He chose the Pea Ridge Annual Mule Jump. I'll admit that I was skeptical when he presented the idea. However it was Mark's choice, so I made the most of it. I kinda lucked out because we ended up bumping to our friends the Clives. Their 3 little girls helped entertain me when I got bored.

They start 'em young here in Arkansas! He was the cutest little cowboy trying to get his mule over that pole.

Big boys jump their mules too.

Mules sure can jump! These animals are only amateur jumpers, but we saw a few jump 54 inches. That is almost as tall as I am!

Then there was the car show.

Lunch was simple ~ Spud Dogs (a hot dog wrapped in a spiral cut potato and then deep fried) with soda.

I think between the jumping mules, "antique" car show, and Spud Dogs it shaped up to be an interesting and unique Arkansas adventure. Mark liked it so much he bought himself a T-shirt.

Have no idea what to say, except this -- Mark, you say there is nothing to do in Danville???? Watching poor mules having to jump was the only thing you could find to do in Arkansas on a Saturday afternoon>
