Learning Lessons the Hard Way

The last few weeks (well really the whole year in some areas of my life) I have been learning lessons the hard way ~ Personal Experience!

The latest lesson is summed up very well between these two popular quotes:

#1. "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." ~ Friedrich Nietzsche

#2. "Things work out, it isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is...If you do your best, it will all work out. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future." ~ Gordon B. Hinckley

The lesson: Don't take on too much at once!

Last week I simply had my hands into too many things. I sometimes have a problem saying "no" when something needs to be done well and nobody else steps up to the plate. As a result I felt very overwhelmed trying to do too many things at once, but whew... I did it! President Hinckley & Mr. Nietzsche were right. Things do work out! While it seemed beyond bad while I was in the trenches it is over now and I have more confidence than ever. More importantly, I have learned that sometimes I can just say no.

As I searched for inspiration one night while printing 70 science fair certificates I found some other quotes that I really like. Maybe one of them will help you too.
