Bowling Extravanganza

Okay so maybe it wasn't quite that big of a deal, but I did do something I have never done before. While bowling tonight I got a Turkey! Yup that is completely right, three strikes in a row! Not only was that a first for me, but for the 2nd time in our relationship I beat Mark in the game 127 vs 122. However, I have to remain at least a little humble because if we counted cumulative points I am sure Mark would be ahead by about a thousand. As for non-bowling excitement I am back in school for the 2010-2011 school year. The kids have been back for 2 weeks and I am certainly trying to stay on top of things. Last week I worked three 12 hour days...needless to say I was exhausted by Friday and very ready for the weekend! I always forget how much paper work there is the first few weeks to school, and without help from my old TA I had to spend extra time this year working with about 170 pieces of paper to check off, organize, file, and in some cases make copies for other teachers before the end of this week. I am still not done since many students haven't turned in all of their papers, but at least I was caught up as of Thursday.

Mark's car (borrowed from his mother) broke down a few weeks ago. After a lot of searching and a lot of me thanking Sharon O. for carpooling to school with me, he finally found a used car that he liked being sold for a good price. We are now the proud owners of a 2001 Lexus. Besides a few dents on the drivers side it looks pretty good and runs really well! This picture is a souped-up version of Mark's new car.

Way to go on the turkey, Jill! I love it when I get a strike and my husband is watching.

Good luck getting prepped for the school year--I hope you have a great group of kids!
