Mulberry Trees, Ali, & Noah's Ark

This week has been just full of news and happenings!

Mark and the other EntoGenetics crew went down to Anson County NC to plant 300 Mulberry Trees. For those of you who just happen to be out of the information loop on silk worms they only eat Mulberry leaves, so now we have finally found a job for all the children going around the Mulberry Bush, the Mulberry Bush, the Mulberry Bush as they go round the Mulberry Bush... they can pick the leaves for Mark & David's silkworms!!!

Mark's baby sister had her own baby Friday. Alison (Ali) Dawn Jenkins was born 2 weeks early, but is healthy and doing well. I stole a picture from Mary Susan's blog..hope that's okay MS. Mommy, Daddy, & Ali are home now and trying to get used to their new life. Ali is our 10th niece.

It is Aunt Paulette's birthday this week so Susan & I concocted the idea of a Noah's Ark cake. Paulette is the prime example of an animal lover (she runs the Danville Area Humane Society), so we thought Noah's Ark was an appropriate tribute. Since it was 3D and created to be viewed from all sides I have to post 3 pictures so you can see all of the parts. I wish I had a better camera so my pictures could be a better quality!

The cake was such a nice surprise, and I loved it! It was sweet for the eyes, as well as the mouth. Thanks so much, Jill! It was a special gift and I appreciate it. Love you!
