Fantasy Flower

This week we learned how to make carnations, daisies, tulips, and the "fantasy flower" out of gum paste. I LOVE the carnation and tulip, so I will be making more carnations in the future and buying the other flower kit (if it ever goes on sale) so I can make the tulips. I decided to try a layering fondant technique that leaves one imprinted layer loose over the plain base layer. It was pretty darn easy (after I figured out the base layer...I need more practice). I added tonight's Fantasy Flower on top for a little more decoration.
