Atlanta Apartment

This weekend I was finally able to move to Atlanta and be with Mark full-time! Mark flew to Durham late Friday night/early Saturday morning then we spent Saturday morning and early afternoon packing and cleaning. When we got everything loaded in the car (Yes, Gizmo was loaded in the back too) we took off for our 6 hour drive from Durham to Atlanta.

We spent one of our first meals at the Varsity drive in. Apparently it is a famous drive-in that has been open for 80 years. The best part of the meal was their frozen orange drink or F.O. if you are speaking in Varsity Lingo.

The following is a video tour of our apartment (ignore the mess, this was taken before I got to clean it Monday). We are in a furnished studio a 1/2 mile from Atlanta city center. It is cool to be so close to the sky scrapers! We are also very close to some awesome attractions like the World of Coca-Cola, the GA Aquarium, and the Olympic Park! However it comes with the con of lots of homeless people milling about the area between here and the city, and we are always hearing the sirens from the police station a few blocks away.

Jill! I never added your blog to my reader, so I haven't been keeping tabs on your goings on! Cute little apartment, I'm sure it's nice to be reunited with Mark and done with school!

The Fuqua Catholics did the chapel climb and sent an email out, so that's how we heard about it. If I hear of it next year, I'll be sure to let you know. It's really cool. Enjoy Atlanta and any other exotic destination you visit this summer!
