Wednesday morning I flew out to UT so I could attend Kristi's wedding on Saturday. When my airplane landed my parents picked me up and we went out to lunch. We dropped my dad off at work and then Mom and I got our nails done, went to get my hair cut, visited my grandma at Cliftons, and ran a few more errands.
Thursday I got to visit the elementary school were I taught last year, it was so good to visit old friends and the teachers who helped me learn what teaching really is.
Then I went to Lehi to visit our nieces Kaiya, Emmie, Claire, & Hayden along with Tarin (their mom). I still can't believe how fast these little girls grow!
At nap time I drove to Orem to visit my freshman year roommate Jami Little. Jami is a new mommy and little Brooklyn is sooo tiny. She only weights just over 5 lbs and slept the whole time I was there. Jami is doing well recovering from the emergency C-section.
After visiting Jami I was able to go to the Mt. Timpanogos Temple and be present as Kristi went through her first endowment session in the temple as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was a wonderful experience I am so happy I was able to be there for the special day.
Friday Kristi graduated from BYU with a bachelor's in Anthropology. I was again able to be there for a special event in my best friend's life. Unfortunately I had my camera but the card was in my computer, so I didn't get any pictures. :-( After the graduation Larry (Kristi's dad) took us to Tucanos for a celebratory lunner. I love that Brazilian grill! Friday night was spent in a hotel in downtown Salt Lake City so we could be closer to the Bountiful temple for Saturday's wedding.
Kristi tied the knot at 1:00 on Saturday in the Bountiful Temple. She didn't cry the whole time, well until I went to hug her and she saw my tears of joy, oopps sorry Kristi! I was privileged to be invited into the Brides-room after the wedding to help her get ready to meet her husband and guests outside the temple. The rain held off until they were just about done taking pictures. The reception was held in the Springville Museum of Art. She looked beautiful and he couldn't stop smiling! Of course they danced (they meet as dance partners at BYU), cut a cake, and left for the unknown honeymoon destination. It was great being involved with the wedding! Many of our (Kristi and I) friends were able to come to the wedding reception. Since I wasn't the bride I had a lot more time to mingle and catch up.
I saw Andrea Hosmer & Megan Summers from the from freshman year in Snow 134. Jami couldn't make it of course because she is still recovering from having her baby. Soon after David & Kyle Halgren came and we had about 1/2 of the freshman dinner group present.

Congratulations Kristi & Danny Hoffman!
PS: Some people were wondering about how the dress worked. Danny's mom made the bridesmaids dresses but I didn't get to try it on until Thursday night, so I was worried! It turned out wonderful. I didn't get any pictures of the bride and bridesmaids outside the temple, and I know this isn't a real flattering picture of everyone but it gives you an idea of what the dress looks like.
