Well it has been a while since I wrote the last post, but there really isn't much going on that is super important. Mark has been going to school for a couple weeks and has two midterms this week followed by finals next week.
Starting Wednesday I had new teacher orientation and was finally able to get into my room. I haven't gotten a lot done though mostly because there is
another teacher who still has stuff in the drawers, cupboards, shelves, and piled up on my desk. I think she should be at the school tomorrow and I am going to offer to help her move her things so I can put mine away.

The nice thing I have found out about this school is that there is not as much stress on the fire code here. In UT I couldn't put anything 3D up, hang things from the ceiling, have any extra furniture, or put things on the wall where a bulletin board didn't already exist. Here I can do whatever I want. I am going to go buy some foam mats and bean bags from Sams Club tomorrow to put on the tile floor in the class library area. If I see a couch on the side of the road I may pick that up too so the kids can have somewhere to sit that is more comfortable. The downside to the school here is that I only get so many copies and then after that I have to pay for them myself. Gene and Debi were nice enough to let me use their copier at the tax office to make my work books so I didn't run out of copies before school even began (Thank you again). Oh, that is a picture of the front of my school.
Saturday we drove to Bracy Va (I think that's how it's spelled) for Tim and Mary Susan's (Marks little sister) wedding open house. They have been living in Texas and didn't get a chance to have a reception in his hometown before the move, so they threw a party yesterday. Tim's parents live on a lake so we were able to hang out on the dock and go on the boat. It was really nice. I didn't do too much, which was just perfect. We brought Gizmo and I was totally just happy to kick back and relax on the dock with him. Mark on the other hand rode the jet ski and had lots of fun... that is until he and his mom were riding together and flipped the jet ski as they were trolling into the dock. Poor Susan had her clothes on and her phone in her pocket. I still don't think the phone has recovered, so cross your fingers for her.
It was great to see most of the Smallwood family together. Though we did miss Brady & Karissa and Dennis, Tarin, & the Girls.
Well that's most of it. Work has started and that means less vacations and probablly less stuff to write about. I will do my best to take pictures when we do have an adventure though. Blogs are always more fun when there are pictures to go along with them :-)
