New Furniture

This weekend my parents were moving into their new house. They had a lot of furniture that they were going to give to DI. Instead Michael, Mark, and I drove up to Morgan and took some furniture for ourselves. Michael got a couch, ottoman, and some shelves for his apartment. Mark and I scored some wood kitchen chairs, an end table and bookshelf for our living room, a curio cabinet, and a wood paper sorter (teachers use them as mailboxes), along with some other non-furniture items. We made out like bandits! We did help them move, so it wasn't all completely free. Mark broke the most intense sweat I have seen since our marriage. I will post pictures of the house as soon as it gets all unpacked and put together.

In other news, I was contacted by a Principal about an interview. I emailed her back, but I am afraid I scared her off when I mentioned I wouldn't be in NC until July :-\. I later looked up her school and found out there are only 2 white students in the school total! That is the exact opposite of Southland, so I have a feeling I will be in for a BIG culture shock when I get out there!!!

Mark's brother and his wife leave town tomorrow. We wish them good luck and will miss them dearly, though we hope to see them before too long. They are moving to D.C. which is a great vacation spot (wink, wink you two), and I am sure we will see them during major holidays at Mark's parent's homes.
