After waking up and packing to spend the weekend at my parents home, we drove to Morgan,
and hopped into my parents truck. My
whole family has wanted to go 4-wheeling for some time and we finally found a weekend when everyone could go. We drove up past Hardware Ranch into the mountains. The afternoon was spent driving around in the beautiful mountains, simply enjoying the ride and the scenery. We had a picnic lunch, then drove around some more. The trip was fantastic! ( I got a little dirty though :-)
and hopped into my parents truck. My After coming home from the mountains we went to my brother's baseball game. He had told us before that every game he has gotten a triple and hoped to get one this game as well. And.... he did (way to go Curtis)!!! We attended church with Mom and Dad and came home for the last part of the evening. It was a very full, but VERY fun weekend! Thanks again Mom and Dad for taking us quadding.
Well, that is the "Full Weekend" part of this blog title. The "Good News" part is that I have finally been offered a job teaching in NC! I had an interview scheduled for last Thursday evening but the principal never called. To my surprise the principal called Sunday afternoon and I had an on the spot interview at my parents house. She said she had saved a 5th grade opening so she could interview me before filling it, and wanted to call my references. Yesterday she called my principal and my BYU facilitator. Jennifer (BYU facilitator) called me after Mrs. Bittle (Eno Valley Elementary, NC) had talked to her and said they had a wonderful talk and it sounded like I was going to be hired.
This morning Terri (principal at Southland) asked me if I had a job, and I told her I hadn't heard from Mrs. Bittle yet. Terri told me they had had a good talk and she kept thinking to herself that she was maybe being too positive. To the point that is was unbelievable, but couldn't think of anything negative to say. Around 10 am my cell phone started to vibrate and I looked at the caller ID. It was Eno Valley. Mrs. Bittle left a message which I checked during my recess and she said she was excited to talk to me so I needed to call her back. I called her during my lunch, and she asked if I was still interested in a 5th grade position at her school. Of course I was, and she offered me the position!
Finally I have a job. Before when people asked me if I was excited to move I would say that I wanted to be, but without an income I couldn't be too excited. Now when people ask I can truthfully say YES because I know I have a job now. It feel soooooo great!!!!!
