Our Weekend in VA and NC

Well, we made the final decision about getting a dog. We even ended up finding "the one" when we went out East last weekend for Mary Susan's wedding (which was beautiful). Aunt Paulette had a few dogs in mind for us to look at and we had two that we were seriously looking at. One turned out to be too shy and not energetic enough. The other one, the one that we adopted, looks like he will bite your head off when you first look at him. But that happened to be a quality we were looking for.

Actually, Gizmo was born with an underbite. He's kind of like the weird looking kid at school. First, you don't want to be friends with him because he looks a little weird. Then, you realize he's not so bad and actually feel a little bad for him. After that, you find out he's actually pretty cool and just a normal kid that has to wear that thing on his head because he grinds his teeth at night. Anyway, Gizmo is a really fun, nice dog that we're excited to welcome into our family. And no one is allowed to make fun of his underbite. He's a little sensitive about that. I assume.

In other news, Mary Susan got married last Saturday (which is why we were back in VA and NC and able to adopt Gizmo). She and Tim were married in the Raleigh Temple and had their reception in Danville. The reception turned out really nice and was held in this cool old church building in downtown Danville that is being renovated. Jill was a bridesmaid and beautiful as always. We would have some pictures of it but we accidentaly left our camera in Danville. So, instead, you can just enjoy another picture of Gizmo (he looks a little dirty because he just got out of surgery). Can you tell where Jill stopped writing and I took over?

Nice dog. I guess it is family now. Just like Naughty Kitty--they should be friends...practice for our kids. I want to see pictures of the wedding...

Since I can't comment on your profile--I will here. I just wanted to thank you for the recognition in that I (kind-of) introduced you two. Just thought you would want my stamp of approval. Love ya!
