1 Year

Wow, time really does fly by when your having fun! Yesterday was our first anniversary. It seems like we haven't been married long enough to call it a year. Yet at the same time we both feel like we have been together for much longer than that, weird.

Both of us went to work yesterday but I was able to leave right around 4:20 so I was home around 5. We left right away for Outback (haven't taken ourselves to a steakhouse this year so we wanted a treat). After driving for just over an hour we finally found the dang place, who knew a N, S, E, W style of directions could be so hard to find?! By the time we got in we were to so hungry, we had 1/2 an order of cheesy fries (and I wonder why we gain weight, hum...), I ordered prime rib, Mark ordered a No Rules burger (I can't figure that one out). After dinner we went shopping at Ross so I could spend some birthday/graduation money, I found 2 pair of shorts that I actually really like, which is unusual. After Ross we checked out Petco just to look at the prices for the kind of stuff our future dog may need. After that we made our way home in 20 minutes (haha, we didn't get lost this time).

Once home Mark broke out the cake. We had saved the very top layer of the cake, which was our favorite flavor, Lemon. That thing has been sitting in our freezer, literally taking up 1/2 of the space, so it was exciting not to only eat some, but know we would get more space in there. After some pictures Mark cut and defrost a few pieces while I went into the back room and tried on my dress again. I was determined to fit back into that thing after only a year, but at the same time very nervous that I had gained a lot of weight! I didn't have my corset like I did last year so it was a little tight, but not too bad I must say. I know I put on a few lbs, but I am happy to say that it wasn't enough to not wear my most beautiful piece of clothing. Maybe I will make that a tradition every year, hum....
