Well we are back to normal life now. Last week was crazy and both Mark and I were very tired by Saturday night.
Right now I am at my last History 202 class and will take the final next week. Oh, I finally got my grade back for my online Childrens Literature class. Pretty sure my worry was not worth it (other than to get me jump started on the project), I got 100% on all assignments, 97% on the test, and the professor recorded my final grade as 100%. Yippee!!!
Next week some of Mark's family will be coming out for graduation (Mark's brother is graduating too). I love it when the Smallwood/Elzey parents come out and visit. We are going to try to attend a family cookout, but I need to decide what I want to do with my family and Kristi to celebrate my degree that day too.
Mark and I have talked about adopting a dog when we move to North Carolina. I am getting really excited about the idea of having someone to keep me company for the first couple of weeks while I am home and Mark is at school. Go ahead and cast your vote below about if I should get a dog or not.
Still no word from NC about a teaching job, for the last week or so I have had an average of 4 calls a day from principals wanting me to come work for them in the Jordan District. It brings both saddness and pride, I am sad that I have to say no to job offers without having another job lined up yet (something I never do), but good that I have been able to make such an impression in only 1 year.
I think Mark is just starting to realize how much work Duke holds for his future. I know he has always known it, but it last night he made a statement to the effect that he was not looking forward to schoolwork again. While Mark is expecting schoolwork I am finally ready to not have any, yipee again!
Well that is our news for now. Hope you all are having a good week too!
