Going to the Zoo with Friends

We hit the Tulsa Zoo this spring with friends.  The 2 hr drive wasn't so bad when you were sharing a van with a friend.  Then 2 other families met us there and we had a grand time!
We spent the whole day and saw nearly everything there was to see.  Between 4 moms we had 12 kids between the ages of 6 months and 8 yrs.  It was super fun and we'd do it again in a heartbeat.



 We bought unlimited train and carousel ride wristbands and we got our money out of those bracelets!  Dean didn't want to ride an animal this first go round and chose a bench instead, but the next 3 times he loved choosing an animal and getting the whole experience!  Rachel, as always, loved every minute of the rides.
The train is always fun for both kids.  It was especially fun when we have a whole crew of friends with with on the ride.

This time we hit the Rhinos at the perfect time.  It was feeding time so they brought them in and feed them right next to us.  We started out being the only families there so we got to talk to the trainer and ask all our questions.  The kids were surprised at how "sooooo big" the two rhinos were.  It was a nice treat for for some kids who love animals.
