Utah Vacation

We went to UT as a family in July.  Grandma came out to meet the kids and I in Tulsa for what was supposed to be a seamless transition with her arriving at 4:30 and the flight to SLC taking off at 5:30.  She got in on time, but on the flight over the radar broke so we were put up in a hotel over night turning our short 5 hr door-to-door trip into a 23 hr extravaganza.  First Class seats and snacks went a long way to keeping the kids happy after a late night and early morning and 3 hrs waiting for the flight the next morning to get everything figured out with the TSA.  All in all they did really well on the flight and their new seat belts helped them understand that they were in their seats for the long haul.

Once we made it to Grandma and Grandpa's there was a lot of fun things to do.  Riding bikes was a favorite, as was jumping on the tramp with Uncle Scott.

Going to the Pioneer Day Rodeo & Parade

Lagoon,
boats and cars were a big hit

carousel - not so much.
Bulgy the whale was 50/50 - Dean HATED it and cried the whole time, but Rachel LOVED it and laughed the whole time.

Hogle Zoo
The carousel was much more acceptable on Uncles Scott's lap.

We went camping too!

There were also lots of days spent in the pool.  Dean loved jumping off the diving board.  Such a brave little boy when it comes to swimming.

I can't find any pictures, but we also got to visit Great-Grandma Jennings a couple times.  The twins recognized the family store, Clifton's from 1/2 a block away in Ogden and knew "Gama Jenming" would be there to read them a book.  So cute!

It was a great trip!  Even the return trip ended well, so from begging to end it was a near perfect vacation!

Whoa, where did you get those airplane seat belts? That is a great investment!
