Xmas

After we got back from VA we started decorating for Xmas.  The kids were very intrigued by the action and soooo wanted to help us.  Dean tried climbing the ladder to help get the tree set up.  How cute is he!?!

Santa was a popular person in our house.  "HoHoHo" picture books and coloring pages with Santa were a favorite this season right along side books about "baby" or "baby je."  However at our ward Christmas party we had Santa come visit and the kids were NOT fans of "HoHoHo" when he was 6 feet tall and wanting them to sit on their lap.  I had to basically drop Dean on St. Nick's lap and run, but Rachel wouldn't let go of Mark's shirt so this was as close as we got to a Santa and the kids picture.

The twins got to be very proficient at opening gifts at Christmas.  I wish I took more pictures, but at the time I was just enjoying the moments. :-)

They got too many things to list off.  But the cowboy/girl hats and shoes and vest (made by Great-Grandma Jennings) that matched their new rocking horses made the rocking horses an extra big hit!
They also like to watch Great-Grandma Jennings' Nutcracker Ballet music box.  They spent a lot of time watching, listening, and dancing along with the music box and moving figures.  Hopefully we can make the annual nutcracker outing a tradition for their generation too!

On Christmas Eve we opened pajamas, a DeYoung family tradition, can you guess where we headed on December 27th?
