Getting Organized....Kind Of

Well I'm trying to get things around the house reorganized and honestly somethings organized for the first time. It has nothing to do with a "nesting desire" and everything to do with the fact that all the stuff in my office has to be moved now before I can't move it later.  We have 3 extra bedrooms in this house, but it just so happens that I claimed the largest to be my craft room.  Now, with two babies on the way it means two cribs, two dressers, and lots of stuff.  Therefore we need to use the biggest bedroom as a nursery.  I would love to not move things around.  I also know that if it doesn't get done now while I have the energy and ability to move things from one room to another then it won't get done until the twins are already here.  At this point household organization has moved from the "want to do list" onto the "need to do list".

Nursery Closet & Workout Room Closet:
First I started organizing the craft stuff that was already in the closet and putting what few baby things I had into the new space.

Yesterday the rest of the crafting supplies got moved out of the nursery closet and into a new one.  Things have been boxed up, thrown out out, and reorganized in the process.

When the craft things got moved out the baby things got moved in.

Tornado Shelter:
Since I had to put craft supplies in the workout room closet I needed to move the things that were already there to yet another location.  So the food storage had to be moved down to the tornado shelter.  That meant adding shelves.  By the time I got all the food storage down there I forgot to take a picture.  This is the "in-progress" picture.

Pantry:

The nice part about being forced to organize is that I know where everything is again. I'm especially enjoying being able to find everything in the pantry.  It's also nice to know that we are even more prepared to survive a tornado in a semi-comfortable shelter.  I feel like a lot has gotten done toward getting my mind and house wrapped around the organization required to take care of two newborns.  Unfortunately it has been pretty limited to closets.  Haha..start small and work outwards is the approach I'm choosing to take on this project.  If I wasn't working I think I could have the nursery ready to be painted by the end of this week, but since I spend almost every afternoon and early evening (my high energy time) somewhere else I'm not expecting it to be done for a few more weeks.  :-/
