Things are Moving Right Along

I thought when school started things would slow down a little bit around here, but they haven't at all.  Mark is fulfilling 2 different clerk callings now and was in a stake financial audit in a tiny closet of a room with no windows and a closed door for 6 hours yesterday.  The stake guy kept rerunning the numbers because he couldn't find any errors.  It was the first ward he'd been to where there hasn't been a problem so he thought that he'd done something wrong this time.  Nope, these Bentonville 1st Ward men are just very efficient at their callings and don't let money mistakes slip by.  It was a long day for those 3 brethren and Mark was drained afterwards.  Mark also seems busier than ever at work.  I woke up this morning after he kissed me good-bye to find out it was only 6:30am.  He usually leaves around 7:15 - no wonder I was still tired.  When I asked him why he had to leave so early his response was "I have a lot to do." So there ya go.  He's busy.

I have switched from 8-12 hr days with the kids to only about 4 hours, but those 4 hours are much busier than the whole day used to be.  Most days Sophie & Max are only home for between 30-90 minutes before their dad or mom get back from work.  Trying to do everything they get as homework and all the stuff they are signed up for is hard.  It's not stressful so much as tricky.  It's nice that I have the mornings off to do what I need to do and build up energy!  The house is getting cleaned on a daily basis again. I don't like cleaning, but it is nice to have a sparkling kitchen at least once a week.

A good chunk of the kitchen counter is filled with IVF stuff now. I never thought I would be so excited to get a box full of needles.  Figuring out what each shot or pill was for, when it was for, and how it had to be stored was a bit overwhelming, but it got done and everything is now annotated and grouped together based on when it will get used over the next few months.  It all seemed so manageable until I went to pick up Mark's Zpac from the local pharmacy just after my box got to the house.  Comparing his one little box to my big bags made it  feel totally unfair (I had to add a Zpac into my stash too)!  Hopefully there will be a baby or two in the end though, which will make it all worth it!
Mark's is in front.  Mine is in back.
PS: I promise that most of the upcoming posts won't have anything to do with IVF or babies, but right now it's about the only thing that's new and exciting in our lives!

Yeah, I'd say the two of you keep pretty busy. Amazing to see your counter full of all of this wonderful modern medicine! You'll be in my prayers too! Keep posting about it, it's a pretty huge deal going on in your life, and I'm totally interested.
