Our trip to the Bahamas started off a little stressful at 10 that morning when Mark realized our tickets at 3:30pm were for the Fayetteville, NC airport instead of the Fayetteville, AR airport. Thanks to my dad's elite super diamond platinum plus (whatever Delta's highest frequent traveler program is called) he was able to pull some strings and get us on a completely booked 11:30am flight out of Arkansas. I called my friend AJ in a near panic and asked if she would take Gizmo to the kennel for us. She was a dear and took him so we were able to get to the airport on time (thanks AJ for taking him in and thanks Desi for picking him up).
Once we got to the airport everything calmed down and turned out great! We stayed at the Atlantis resort. The aquariums were awesome, the slides were fun, and the beach was beautiful! My favorite ride was the not-so-lazy river. The rapids, tidal waves, and ramps on that mile long ride made it unique and entertaining. I couldn't bring myself to go down the pyramid water slide, but everyone else did and Mark went two or three times. He video recorded the experience for me to see. Lucky you gets see it too!
Mom surprised everyone with tickets to a Brad Paisley concert. We were much closer than we could have ever gotten at a normal venue and Brad put on a great show!
We spent one day shopping in Nassau and bought another item for our souvenir wall/desk. Soon we are going to have to expand that space!
It was a great vacation and Mark even commented that it was nice to still have Christmas ahead of us instead of behind us this year. Thanks Mom and Dad for a fantastic vacation. We loved it!!!
