Praying for Mom

Well this weekend brought quite the shock.

Saturday, early evening, I got a text from Dad telling me that Mom had gotten in an ATV accident and was in the ER. After I got more of the story it became obvious that it wasn't just a small accident. As mom was going around the corner she lost control of the machine and fell off. After she fell, the ATV rolled over and pinned her on her back. A couple drove by in an SUV and offered to help them get her to the hospital because her shoulder hurt and she had a cut on the back of her head. A big thank you to whomever that couple was! She had 6 staples to fix the cut in the back of her head. When they got the X-rays back they discovered that the bone in her upper right arm had broken completely away from the ball that is in her shoulder (you know how your joints are a ball and socket). Then the bone just below that was shattered. She has be given a ton of drugs to dull the pain. Today Mom and Dad talked to doctors in the area and found one that they would like to work with. There is a doctor in Park City that is supposed to be The best, that has agreed to meet with her tomorrow. The guy in the ER said she will want to go in for surgery ASAP and they hope to get her in with the Park City doctor on either Wednesday or Thursday.
